Hi All,
i have a powerbi report that allows teachers to select their name and see a list of their classes for the day in a table and see all students in those classes in a separate table.
The teachers need to be able to print their student lists, however this table contains images which causes a problem. Exporting the student list only shows the URL and not the image. Copying the visual only shows the visble rows and none of the rows you need to scroll to.
Paginated Reports seems to be the solution however, due to conifdentiality the images are not in a public location which seems to be necesssary for paginated reports to display the image.
Not sure what other options i have?
P.s the images are saved on sharepoint, however i also have the option of moving to Azure blob storage.
Any suggestiongs would eb greatly appreciated.
cheers,
Greg
Any other MS tools that may be able to do this? was starting to looking into Synapse but nto sure it will get me there either.
Now starting to look at power apps or power automate to acheive a report that shows the images. I need to have a solution even if its a third party solution asap. Any guidance would be appreciated.
With the normal report sheet, whether enlarged or not, it will always print what you see on the screen, which does not meet what you expect.
the request is a paginated report, but you must have the images uploaded to a public URL. you could use Azure Blob storage, Onedrive, github, or any hosting hosting.
Thanks for the reply,
Just confirming if put on Azure blob it would still need to be public? E.g any one outside of our school with the appropriate location could access it?
I've come up with a solution that gets me very close.
Created a new page called print view with custom size 720 wide by 2000 high. On the main page i have a button that says 'Print view' which drills through to the print page and displays the students. File > Print page.
This is so close to being perfect. The only issue is that it will only print on one page. e.g all 27 students with photos on an a4 page. and if i select scale to 200% it just cuts off parts of the table rather than printing it over 2 pages, any ideas how this could be resolved?
