Hi--I have been fighting with a matrix in paginated reports all day. I copied a matrix that I already had (it has the same dataset) and changed the fields to adapt to the new data. I did have to delete some rows. Now when displaying, the new matrix that was copied is breaking in the wrong place. Below is the original matrix design view.
This is the copied matrix design view.
On the copied matrix--I did deleted a row in the Gas FY area--note the heavy underline--I don't know if that is the problem?
When exporting to a PDF--the first matrix breaks appropriately. (it does show on 2 pages, but the page breaks are correct.
On the 2nd matrix, the top rows break on one page.
Then the rest follows on the next page--I have tried several things--checking page breaks, etc. The heading at the top is a row that I inserted outside the grouped areas.
I have been working with pagingated reports for only a few months, so any input would be appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi @TJohnsonOK
Ensure that your matrix's group properties are correctly set to manage page breaks effectively. You can right-click a row group in the Grouping pane, select Group Properties, and then navigate to the Page Breaks tab. Here, you can adjust settings to add a page break between each instance of a group, at the start of a group, or at the end of a group.

Then the logical page breaks are ignored for report items that are constantly hidden or whose visibility is toggled by another report item. Ensure that the visibility settings of your report items are not inadvertently affecting your page breaks. More on rendering behaviors can be found here:

Thank you so much for your reply. I have checked all the settings and they are the same as the matrix I copied. I copied the matrix again and started updating to the information for the matrix in question. The problem starts when I delete one of the rows from the first matrix in this area.
What I ended up doing was copying another matrix that only had one row in this area and then added another row to it. I was able to get it to work that way--I just am not sure why it was page breaking the way it was if I tried to delete row 2 or 3 from the matrix like I did before. I do appreciate your help.
