Page refresh - hidden switch

Hi, I'm new here and I need help. I was looking for answers on the form but I did not find the answer

Why can't I see this switch?

I have enabled this functionality in options

My desktop looks like there is no scheduled refresh switch. What am I doing wrong?

It will show only if you are connecting as DirectQuery mode.

FYI - If you are keeping your excel files in the SharePoint folder/Onedrive, you can use Microsoft flow to automate the data refresh.

Thank you for the answer.

How to make a DirectQuery for an Excel file?

If I choose the source (Excel file), the program imports it without asking. How do you switch to a DirectQuery?

@amiskow  Excel source doesn't support DirectQuery.

That's not good. I thought it would be possible 😞
So it is not possible to auto refresh the query from the Excel table (we are talking only about PowerBI desktop) ?
