PYTD : Previous Year till Date or Previous Year to Date

Hi, 

Just wondering to understand the correct version of PYTD, to consider the time period, as there are different explanations available over the internet. 

If we are talking about PYTD on April-21-2023 then what time period it should consider:

 

A.  From Jan-01-2022 to April-21-2023 

Or

B.  From Jan-01-2022 to April-21-2022

 

Also, is there any standard definition anywhere recognized or certified by the institutions?
