POWER BI TABLE VISUAL

Hi,

I have an use case where I want to show two columns in the table visual as shown below. Is it possible to achieve this where my data contains texts and numbers. Is it possible to achieve this with the table visual?

Best regards,

Supritha

Hi @SuprithaPrakash ,

Great question! What you’re trying to achieve—showing both text/number columns and side-by-side visuals like progress bars or pie charts within the same Power BI table or matrix—is not possible with the default Table or Matrix visuals alone. They only support basic formatting and data display.

If you want to include custom visuals (such as in-cell progress bars or pie charts for each row), you’ll need to use a custom visual. One of the best options for this is the Deneb visual, which lets you design highly customized visuals using Vega or Vega-Lite JSON syntax. With Deneb, you can build a table that combines text, numbers, and even visual elements in the same row.

Here’s what you can do:

  1. Import the Deneb custom visual from the Power BI marketplace.
  2. Use Deneb to design a custom table-like visual where you define how each cell should look, including the use of progress bars, circles, or other shapes alongside your data.
  3. This approach gives you maximum flexibility, but it does require some familiarity with Deneb/Vega syntax.

If you’d prefer something simpler and only need bar-like visuals, you can also look into the “Bullet Chart” or “In-Cell Bar Chart” custom visuals, but these won’t give you the same level of control as Deneb.

Let me know if you want a step-by-step example with Deneb, or if you have any other requirements!

Hi @SuprithaPrakash  - we cannot be fully achieved using the default table or matrix visual, but not custom visuals like in-cell progress bars or pie charts side by side per row.

rajendraongole1_0-1749540537430.png

can you try deneb custom visual.

Hope this helps.
