POWER BI Matrix from multiple tables

Hello,

I am creating a matrix, i have 5 tables to connect and create a matrix out of it.

the common column between these tables is the Product Column.

I want to show the Product names on ROWS and all other other KPIs such sales amount , misc expenses, new customer that in the 5 different tables in COLUMNS.

additional i need a dropdown that will slice the matrix based on City wise.

how to achieve this ? thanks for the help.

Hello @Anonymous ,

so what you need to do is that you need to have a product table that has the unique products and link this table into the other tables that have the data.

this is a star schema data model, check it out https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/guidance/star-schema

Hello @Anonymous

You can create Product Table using UNION DAX (combine all product Id or name from all the table)

Connect the product table using following connections

once done. Use Matrix visualization

Put Product in Rows and KPIs in value section.

I can not comment about City as I am not aware how its related to your current data model

Thanks and Regards,

Sayali
