PLEASE HELP: Error when trying to create a new SharePoint folder connection (Data Source)

Hi,

When I try to create a new SharePoint Data Source in any Power BI Desktop file I get an error.  It doesn't matter if the Power BI Desktop file is a new file or a file that I created months ago.  Regardless, I get an error.

1) I have full access to the SharePoint site I'm trying to create the Data Source from, so that is not the problem.

2) I have double checked my Power BI Desktop settings with a co-worker of mine (who has no problem creating SharePoint folder Data Sources) and my Power BI Desktop settings are exactly the same as the co-worker's Power BI Desktop settings.

3) I have tried fully uninstalling Power BI Desktop and have re-installed it but that has not fixed the issue either.

4) Creating SharePoint folder Data Sources used to work for me, and then all of a sudden one day it didn't.  I do not know what is causing the issue and have no idea what other options I need to take to resolve this.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Power BI Desktop? This solves the same problem for some users.

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information or the expected result you expect. Let me know immediately, looking forward to your reply.

I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalled it but this was before the latest version of Power BI Desktop was available.  I'm going to download that version now and hope it works!

@Anonymous , a Few other users also reported issues with sharepoint.
