PC vs Mac

Hi there

I'm evaluating Power BI with a view to purchase.

I'm a PC user however others will be Mac users and viewers....

Same with our clients viewing the reports...

If you are able to send me a 'need to know' guide on how Power BI would operate in both enviroments that would be really helpful.

Many thanks

Andy

We are a Microsoft Office training firm.  Can anyone tell me if a Mac user with Office 2016 can use Get and Transform or PowerPivot?  I see the threads talking about no current version of Power BI desktop for Mac.

    Thanks!

Thanks, I assume Mac users can read published reports/dashboards ok though?

        Hi AndyDDUK,

They sure will.  The published Dashboards and Reports are all HTML5 so all you need is a browser and a login.  They can also author some reports using the Web version of Power BI, although it's much more limited than what you can do in Power BI Desktop (no calculated measures, no relationship editor etc) .

But it's ok for viewing and basic authoring :)

Definitely vote for the idea as Anonymous suggested
