PBIX files missing report
Today I have opened a few saved pbix files and none of them show the saved Report/visuals. They all have the data and the model but the visuals are not showing up. I don't know if this is a version issue? I am in the June 2024 version but last week all of these reports opened fine for me.
Update: I updated to August 2024 version and the visuals populated. Still baffled as to why they did not previoulsy.

Glad you issue is resolved after upating to Aug 2024 version. I think if you want to know the RCA you need to reproduce the issue and collect the crash dumps and have to reach out to the Microsoft support team.
Install the old version and enable crash dumps collection : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/fundamentals/desktop-diagnostics
If you are unable to reproduce the issuse then it could be difficult even for the support team to give you an RCA
