PBI usage report across multiple workspaces showing pages

Hi

We have managed to get PBI usage report for logs however it does not show pages visited. it's only at a report level. Please advise if this is possible or point me to the post if it's already been answered. I can see lot of posts on reporting from the logs whihc is fine but nothing on report page.

Thanks

Ranjeet

Hi @ranjeetsingh ,

For curruent search, it could just view all metrics in one workspace and may not supprt across multi workspaces.

Perhaps you can submit the requirement to ideas and add your comments there to make this feature coming sooner: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas

Hi!

You can check solution here - that's a work around if you don't have admin access but gives you usage across all workspaces.(with all metrics that are available in PBI service usage report).

Please mark this as a solution if it helps you solve the problem!

Hi @ranjeetsingh ,

You can see the metrics for all the dashboards or for all the reports in the workspace instead of acrossing multiple workspaces, you have to remove a filter. By default, the report is filtered to display metrics for only the dashboard or report that you used to create it.

  1. From the pre-built usage metrics report, select File > Save As. Power BI creates an editable Power BI report, saved in the current workspace.save.png
  2. In the Filters pane, locate the Report level filters bucket and remove the filter by selecting the eraser next to ReportGuid.clear filters.png

Now your report displays metrics for the entire workspace.

For further information about usage metrics, you can refer the following Microsoft documents and blogs that could help you:

  1. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-usage-metrics
  2. https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/announcing-improved-report-usage-metrics-in-modern-workspac...

perhaps my questions wasn't clear. What I would like to do is to be able to report on usage across multiple workspaces easily instead of having to go into one workspace at a time.

Also I have managed to get the usage stats from the Exchange Logs however it does not give me page level reporting, only workspce and report level.

We have 60 workspaces, going into one at a time will be quite a time consuming task considering we want to monitor usage on a regular basis to increase adoption.
