PBI Running Batch File When I Edit Query
Hi all,
I have a CSV that is an output from a microsoft batch file. There is no query between them, the batch file simply outputs the CSV.
When I connect to this in PBI desktop, it will initially give me no problems and refreshes fine, like any other CSV would. However sometimes, once I've made edits to the query and try to apply them, PBI attempts to run the batch file and I get an authorisation error.
Has anybody ever come across this or understand why PBI is running a batch file it, theoretically, should have no connection to? Or how to change a setting so it only reads the CSV file?
Thanks,

Hi parry2k, thanks for your response.
My question is: "How do I query the data so it doesn't run the windows batch file?"
The structure of my flow is this: Windows Batch File ---> Output CSV <---- PBI Reading the CSV
Currently, despite having no connection between the CSV and windows batch file, it still runs and gives me an authentication error, whereas I would expect it to query the CSV like any other.
Does this clear it up?

ashleylinkewich not at all, where you get the authentication error, Power BI has nothing to do with Batch file until I'm missing something here.
