PBI Matrix with sub columns - how to have conditional formatting per column?
Hi! I have the data files but don't know how to upload them.
I have data that looks like this where each row is a unit (# 1 - 3) , when it left inventory and how long it was in inventory, and what subtype of unit it is (Type A or Type B).
This data is pivoted in Excel to produce a table where you can easily see the aging in inventory of each type across time.

If I try to duplicate this in PBI I can get everything to work except for the conditional formatting.
In the Excel table the conditional formatting gradiant is done per column. But if I try to format the matrix as specified above, it does a gradiant for every cell. Is there a way do have each sub column (the Type column and the total columns) be indepent in it's formatting? This is what PBI does by default:
Note that in the real data I'll probally use a calculated column to show 2018Q1, 2023Q2, etc for every row.
Thanks!

You can create a separate measure that computes the formatting per "column".
Please provide sample data (with sensitive information removed) that covers your issue or question completely, in a usable format (not as a screenshot).

Thanks so much for the link. I can't seem to figure out the 'formatting per column'.
Here are both files:

Note: the data is on the data tab of the Excel. In the real data I will have a calculated column which converts and groups date to YYQ.

What is your expected result? What should the color range per "column" be?
Note that in the real data I'll probally use a calculated column to show 2018Q1, 2023Q2, etc for every row. Please elaborate/show an example as this may have an impact on the measure definition.
