Howdy,
So Field Parameters are great. The user can select columns or rows for metrics and they stay in the order the user selected them.
Let me give an example. Let's say we have Product Hierarchy Top Level, Brand and UPC as row options. The user can click any order of the options and that is the defining row level in the Matrix visual. Easy. When you add groupings to rows, this still works.
The problem is when the user is selecting columns. If the Field Parameters are not grouped, it, again, works fine:
The moment they are grouped it no longer stays in the order the user selected and orders them alphabetically. I can't imagine this is as intended, but I am looking for a potential work around.
Like I mentioned, the Row Field Parameters still work as intended, regardless if they are grouped.
Goes without saying, the numbers represented are fabricated. I greatly appreciate any assistance!
I'm having the same issue as well. Works great when using the standard implementation of Field Parameters, but when I create one that groups the Field Parameter items, the typical ordering functionality based on order of selection is now lost and reverts to alphabetic order.
Hey, once they become grouped they no longer do for columns.
