PowerBI desktop crashes each 5 minutes, either because I just save a file or modify a relation...I updated it today but it didn't change muche and it's extremely difficult to work in these conditions. Any advice?

Thank you.
No reply was helpful to solve the question, just patience (a lot), waiting for MS to fix the bug. A really bad experience, an unacceptable delay.

@v-saisrao-msft When the bug was having a significant impact on my daily work, I noticed that the system would crash whenever I attempted to refresh data or save the project while the Power Query editor was open.
If I closed the editor first and then performed these actions, the system did not crash.
So, since I found this pattern, I have been doing it this way.
To be honest, I haven't resolved anything. I'm following this 'workaround' and it seems to be helpful. My report hasn't crashed since I started closing the Power Query Editor before performing other actions, such as saving, refreshing data and making relationship changes.
I don't see any answers in this thread that I could mark as the 'solution'. Can you see any good or meaningful answers? I can't.
We had the same issue for 1-2 months and used the same workaround.
The latest update fixed it for us. Hope it does for you too!

Yes we are also facing this issue for last few days. Any solution?? or should we switch to any other visualization tool?
I face the problem for more than a month, used an old PC with an old version...to change the visualization tool is a problem as we embed the reports in an application. However, to pay 800$/month for service powerBi if you can't work and generate reports is a real problem. The change is not neutral. We start to look at alternatives.

How?, all links are redirecting to March version 2.141.1253.0
Those morons removed the older versions.......
Same for me
PBIDesktop.exe version 2.141.1253.0 stopped interacting with Windows
same here.
Yes that is the same issue I was saving.
I found the save still occured but I had to kill Power BI.
In the front end one work around was File | Export | Power BI Template.
This saves everything but the data, it isn't perfect but it at least gives you a back up!

I am having the same problem. I have been trying all kinds of things - from reinstalling programs to shutting down everything but Power BI to give it more RAM - and nothing works. I save, it crashes, I close and reopen - rinse and repeat.
Same here, I've been having this issue since last week, even on very simple reports I have, it crashes any time I make a change or try to save.
Same here. It's really annoying. Installed the new version. Same issue. Same behavior.
Not a soultion but could you publish the report and edit in the Power BI Service via the browser?
Does it give you an error message when crashing?
I had an issue where Saving in the Query editor would cause a crash. So I saved in the front end and that prevented the crash.

Thank you for your answer.
It only freezes, on PowerQuery or on PowerBI, probably waiting for some process to be completed....quite random but frequent. As I am working on DB extractions and data preparation, PowerBI Service is not a solution.
