Hi,
I have started to play with dataflows as we have a table that has in excess of 36m rows of data which I need to analyse.
Can Power BI query external tables that are not in the PBIX file ? if not is there a way round this as currentky the PBIX file I haveis 7gb and growing and is extremely slugish as you can guess due to the size of the data that it has to use.
I have tried both import and direct query and both have the same ending massive files.
The data source is Big Query.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
Hi @Anonymous
I make a test as below:
I have a pbix which gets data from an excel file,
Now i want to get data from SQL Server into this pbix,
As my pbix or SQL Server data is large, so i connect to SQL Server from Power BI in direct query mode.
Finally, i create a Dual Storage Mode pbix.
Dual Storage Mode; The Most Important Configuration for Aggregations! Step 2 Power BI Aggregations
Best Regards
