PBI Desktop Web connector uses old webviewer, incompatible with some sites

When I use the web connector's "wizard" function (Add table using examples) to select elements on a site the web viewer it uses is so old that sites are starting to not be compatible. Microsoft's own sites tell you to upgrade to MS Edge, so I think it is using VERY insecure Internet Explorer backend. There are a few other cases where this prevents me from using the tool as well.

Not good.
Are there plans to upgrade this to use Edgium?

Check your Power BI Desktop settings.
