PBI Desktop - Dates as a hierarchy

Hello, 

I created a new "Calendar" table summarising the date column from another table. I marked this as a date table. 

When creating a report, the 'date hierarchy' does not show for some reason. Can someone explain why this could be.

I had the same Issue, but I found, when I linked a table with Date table. I should drag the date field from Date table not from the other table. I am not sure about this, but it worked for me.
