Since around the 25th of January I've been having trouble with PBI Desktop importing data from our ODBC ERP system.
For months I could import data without having to provide credentials as PBI Desktop would remember them, but now it keeps failing to login, most likely because it uses wrong credentials resulting in locking my ODBC account.
I went to Settings for Data Source, then Edit Authorizations and tried adding them to the Windows and the Database tab, but none of them work correctly the next day. Anything I can do to have PBI Desktop remember it correctly?
Hi @Anonymous ,
Try to restore previous version from the blow link ,and test again:
Previous monthly updates to Power BI Desktop and the Power BI service

Reading trough the feature list for the december update I notice there have been numerous changes
under the topic Data connectivity and preparation. I fear that somewhere in those changes this bug I'm experiencing has arisen.
There aren't any open issues that have the same problem I do.
I tried several work arounds but for some reason PBI Desktop keeps sending the wrong credentials to the ODBC.
In my first post I wrote that this first starting at the 25th of January. That's exactly right after Windows updated me to the newest version 2.100.1401.0 (64 bit december 2021).
I suspect there's a bug in the latest update that somehow changes or cuts my password, which causes failed login attempts to our database, resulting in continuously locking my ODBC account.
@Anonymous , Check are there any open issues - https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/idb-p/Issues
