PBI Dataflow questions

Hi All,

I know we can create data flow in PBI service and can then be used as dataset.

PBI data flow is also called as Power Query online.

I don't see a way of doing joins in Power Query online. Is that feature not available like how we have in the desktop?

Also, is it possible to create dataset from data flow directly in PBI service with out importing the data flow in PBI desktop and then publishing the dataset back to the service?

Thanks,

John

@johnpjustus,

You can create a join in a dataflow by navigating to Home --> Merge queries:

To create a dataset based on a dataflow, you have to use Power BI Desktop.
