Overlays on line chart
Good afternoon all,
New user here, trying to find my way around PowerBI by taking on a project to build a tool for work.
My usage is a little unique, possibly, utilising the tool to handle and analyse large volumes of traffic data.
I have a line graph with 2 values input; speed (kph) and flow (vehicles per minute).
What I now need to do, is come up with a method of creating a vertical colour overlay, or band, on the graph. I also require for these values to be user-editable, so, for example, I can set a green bar to appear when the flow value exceeds "x", then stop at value "y" - I have mocked up something similar to what I require below:
Does anyone have any idea whether what I am attempting to do is possible?

Anonymous I'm sure it is possible, if you an share pbix file wiht sample data, I will take a look. Also if you can explain bit more about highlighted bar logic that will be great.

Sorry, I'm new to the forum and not sure how to share files. I have the pbix file and the sample data saved locally, currently.
The rationale behind the transparent bars is to indicate when traffic flows reach a certain level.
For example, the flows reach above, say, 60, the green bar begins to highlight at this point. If flows continue to rise, to say 75, then the orange highlight starts.
Green bar starts - 60mph restriction on
Green bar stops - 60mph restriction off
Orange bar starts - 50mph restriction on
Orange bar stops - 50mph restriction off
These are simulating the current thresholds that we use to automate roadside signalling activating/deactivating. It would allow us to be able to complete a simulation on new thresholds, and see where signals would activate, based on these, at a glance.
