Orders, Retail and Inventory in a single visualization
I need to create a single visualization (chart) for a fiscal year that contains Orders, Sales and Inventory.
The problem is a retail sale in the current year may have been an order from the previous year. I dont know how to join to a DimDate table. Can join on SalesOrderDate or RetailSaleDate. I have tried Count(Retail,DatesBetween(RetialDate, FiscalYearStartDate, FiscalYearEndDate.)) . I have tried Count(Retail,RetailDate>= FiscalYearStartDate, && Retail <= FiscalYearEndDate)) These only work correctly when I am joined to DimDate on RetailDate. I know this is confusing but am hoping someone understands.
