Order Chart by Quarter not Quarter Year

I've looking through the forums but can't seem to find a way of sorting by quarter as opposed to Quarter-Year in a chart.

The idea is to be able to compare 2017 Q1 to 2018 Q1 and so forth. Below are my options when I try to sort. And if I try to change the x-axis Scale Type, I have options Linear or Log, none of which help with sorting.
