Every time I launch Power BI I Desktop need to sign in and use my organizations Microsoft authenticator to validate my license. But each time I update the PowerBI desktop application, it requires an additional authentication. I now need to do it three times before the app will let me use it. It seems like something is not clearing out the previous Registry entries, as I previously had to go in and delete five entries a few months ago to get it back to only requiring one authentication.
Seems like a bug in the install process.
Does anyone know a good way, or quick way to clean this up?

Sadly - this added one more logon being required. There must be another three Registry Entries somewhere else. And before anyone asks, I did restart after the uninstall.
I ended up going into RegEdit and deleting every instance of entries "PBIDesktop", after deleting Power BI Desktop, and restarting my system. There was one I could not delete related to the last version loaded. I then restarted and reinstalled PowerBI. It still required three log-ins, but now only at the first time opening the program. When I relaunched it later that day, it remained logged in and did not reprompt for log in. I still need to retest if this is now the behavior I can expect.
The three log-in prompts still bother me, but it SEEMS I may only have to do it once.

sadly, it is better, but still often requires multiple logins, 2 at least each time, now.
Hi,@MDavidW86 Hello,@rajendraongole1thanks for your concern about this issue.
Your answer is excellent!
And I would like to share some additional solutions below
I am glad to help you.
According to your description, when you log in to Power BI Desktop, the system will automatically pop up the account verification login window even after successful verification, sometimes even after three or four verifications.
In fact, I've had this issue a lot, and the solution is to use the latest version of Power BI Desktop
As@rajendraongole1 adviced, you need to delete the current version and go back to the power BI official website to download the latest version.
When I used the latest version of desktop, everything was back to normal, and every time I opened power BI desktop, the login box didn't pop up repeatedly.
Please back up your data when you delete the old version: save important files to avoid data loss.
I hope my suggestions give you good ideas, if you have any more questions, please clarify in a follow-up reply.

Hi @MDavidW86 - This is indeed unusual behavior and suggests that some remnants of previous installations are not being properly removed.
Go to Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall Power BI Desktop, right-click, and select Uninstall.
also clean the registry entries by typing the command regedit from win+R at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop that if there is any microsoft power bi desktop folder entires inside delete it before fresh installation.
Follow the prompts to completely remove the application.Download the latest version of Power BI Desktop from the official
