Only require a selection in the report filters

Hello guys,

First a happy new year to everyone.

I would like to ask a question, is it possible to only require a selection in the report filters?

Because I only found this option in the page filters.

Thank you!

I think you are referring to visual level filter.

If you have mutliple visuals (reports/graphs) on a report, each can have their own visual filter.

Page level filter are applied to all the visuals on a page.

Report level filter are applicated to all the pages (tab)

I hope this is what you asked.

Thanks,

P

Sorry, I would like to select only one filter item, but when I include a report filter it does not display the option to allow only one item to be selected.

I think the attached image will help in understanding.

Yes u r correct. this option only available on Page level. it is not appear in Visual level or REport level.

The resaon behind this is , It was added for Cortana and Q&A to find the page so only they added at Page level.

Gotcha, seems like "Require Single selection" is only on page level filter, not on Visual or Report Level filter. Search if somebody added this an idea, and vote for it, if not then add this as an idea at https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi?WT.mc_id=Community

Sorry dude, I'm not aware of any solution at this point.

Thanks,

Parv
