Online list export to Power BI

Hi,

In reference to this https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/roadmap?featureid=117379

Does exporting an online list to Power BI keep the data source live? I have made changes to the source dataset but it doesn't seem to be updating. not sure what the limitation of the new functionality are.

Thanks

Hi @ccilli,

Current only the live mode data sources(direct query, live connection) can keep the visualizations show the dynamic records  on desktop side.

For other type of connections, you need to publish the report to power bi service side and configure correspond data credentials and refresh settings to help the underly dataset update scheduler.
