I have a very unusual situation with a stacked column chart that I have not seen before. I have a set of values that I am summing up by Location and plotting along an axis that is the week numbers in the year (i.e., Weeks 1 thru 52). Also, the data that is displaying has a dimension called Status that is part of the mystery. There is a table below that lists all the results of whatever is displaying in the chart. There is also a count of the projects at the top of the page that displays the number of projects that should display in the chart and in the table.
As far as I can tell, one specific location's data (let's call this Location A) is operating counterintuitively to the other locations' datas. Location A's data does not display on the chart with all the other locations. Instead the data for this only displays if the Status slicer has the "Approved" status selected (the box has to be checked). For all other projects, where the Status is "Approved," those columns display as expected when no status are selected or when "All selected" is checked. Why would this be? Examination of all the filters, nothing is revealed that should affect this single Location differently. Here is what it looks like (sorry for all the redactions) with all the statuses selected for Location A:
Now when I select "Approved" in the Status slicer, I get the following (again, sorry for redactions):
I cannot understand why this is working this way specifically for this one location. The values are being calculated using a SWITCH function keyed off the Status (nothing with Location), but the other sites' projects are not behaving like this--they display as you would expect, when the slicer is null or "Select all" is selected. I have reviewed this with a colleague and they are equally bewildered. Probably something really simple, but it is evading us as we see no difference with this particular location. Any thoughts on what might be happening or how to better troubleshoot?
Thanks.

Thanks, @HotChilli . Your questions are spot on. We figured it out with a fresh set of eyes. Within the switch function, there was no provision for particularly infrequent status that is ultimately supposed to be filtered out. That location in question happened to have a couple projects with this unusual status, and the switch function appeared to return a completely null set. I added a line to deal with that status and everything appeared as expected.
" The values are being calculated using a SWITCH function keyed off the Status (nothing with Location), but the other sites' projects are not behaving like this"
This, along with the overall description, is all a little too cryptic to help you.
Start with the basics: What tables do you have? What are the relationships? What's the measure definition?
What filters and slicers affect the visual?
If you can't tell us any of this it's going to be difficult to help.
