One slicer/ various scenarios - do I have to create multiple fact tables?

I am using a slicer(s) as a way for a client to pick and choose what products they want.

There are 7 categories, and each category has its own unique subcategories and under those subcategories lies unique products.

If I use the traditional dim/fact star scheme, I will have a dim category, and dim sub category to filter down the product fact table. However, as I’m having to use multiple selection for the slicers, the process of “picking and choosing products” becomes difficult - because I selected values are still in the slicer and even with a hierarchy slicer, the slicer itself is too long.

What I want to do is be able to create a slicer for each category, but when I do this, the slicers end up cancelling each other out.. which I get.. what I’m slicing applies to the same column for the different slicers...

Besides creating 7 different fact tables, is there a way around this?
