Hi Community
I need some help - I have two different data tables (Commencements and Separations) that both have date fields of when an employee might commence or separate an Agency. Of course these are all different dates across the two tables. I am wanting to combing the two data sets on one page and have the one date slicer that pics up counts for the figures wihtin these two tables (eg if I change a date slider - the counts for commencements and separations will reflect accordingly in the timer period).
Ive searched and searched the forum and cant seem to find anything that would help (have tried creating a calendar table, tried joining but it wont allow )
Any help would be greatly appreciated
@Sara16 , You should be able to create a date table and join dates from both Tables with the date of date/calendar table.
Make join in a 1-M single direction (Date -> fact )
To get the best of the time intelligence function. Make sure you have a date calendar and it has been marked as the date in model view. Also, join it with the date column of your fact/s. Refer :radacad sqlbi My Video Series Appreciate your Kudos.
Thankyou @amitchandak but still didnt resolve it 😞 Comes up with "the cardinality you ahve selected isnt valid for the relationship - and this is the issue I keep having regarding the relation I put in place.
Any help would be great
