On-premises data gateway - One Drive
Hi negi007 ,
Recommend you upload the files to OneDrive for Business instead of a personal OneDrive, or upload to SharePoint Onlie. In this way, if your dataset contains only the files saved in OneDrive for Business, it needn't to use gateway and it is not possible to configure the schedule refresh interval. You can only deactivate OneDrive refresh in the dataset's settings. OneDrive refresh synchronizes datasets and reports with their source files. By default, Power BI refresh every hour if a dataset connected to a file on OneDrive or SharePoint Online requires synchronization. See more: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/refresh-data#onedrive-refresh .
While if your dataset not only contains cloud data source OneDrive for Business but also other on premise data sources, then it needs to use the gateway , also the data source OneDrive for Business should be add to the gateway as other on premise data source, as described in Add a data source, and then you can configure schedule refresh, see more: :On-premises data gateway , Configure scheduled refresh .
Note that you also need to select Allow user's cloud data sources to refresh through this gateway cluster option Under Gateway Cluster Settings. See: Merge or append on-premises and cloud data sources.
Best Regards,
Amy
