Old Visuals in a Report

I appear to have some old visuals in a report. When click on them, the icon for them in Visualisations doesnt appear

Ive no idea what this visual was but it was a custom visual and I guess its been removed? Im not sure what to do in these situations?

  • Hi DebbieE

    Looks like a hierarchical slicer.

You could try importing the 'Hierarchical Filter - xViz' custom visualization into your report and try changing it to that. Not sure if that will work though.

From May 2020, Power BI will natively support hierarchical slicers, see here: docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform-release-plan/2020wave1/business-intelligence/hierarchy-slicer

    Best regards,
    Martyn

      Thats good news,

However, its a bit worrying that when you go into reports with Marketplace visuals these could dissapear, leaving you with a visual that cant be updated properly. Also, I only found this by chance, noticing that an icon wasnt selected when I clicked on it.

If Visuals can be removed or replaced, Microsoft need to make it easy to check and resolve
