Odd Behaviour with DB Connection

I recently had to make some data source changes to my PowerBI report but the report would not connect to the SQL database.

 

It's telling me It couldn't authenticate with the credential provided.

 

I've tested the credential on SMSS on the same computer and it connects without any issue, I can see tables and etc.

 

What could I have done wrong?

    Hi fairhaven 

     

    I believe I had the same issue. To me I had to reconnect to the SQL database and that worked well.

    Hi fairhaven ,

     

    File -> Options and settings -> Data source settings -> Clear permissions

    Try to clear the permission and reconnect.
