Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I can't for the life of me get Power BI Desktop to launch. I have uninstalled Power BI countless times and removed the associated folders and have tried different methods to download (Windows Store and from the website). Everytime I install and try to launch the program I get an Object reference not set to an instance of an object error.

-I have .NET v4.8+, latest edge/edge webview2 runtime

-My computer is up to date on Windows updates

Running the program as administrator is the only way it will run, but I cannot have IT remoting in to do that anytime I need to use it. I've spent countless hours trying to find a workable solution online, but I feel like I have exhausted all options.

I tested Power BI with a different computer and it seems to work so there's something specific to my computer that is holding me up I just can't figure out what it is.

Hi @qtran

Is the other computer you are using the same user as the current computer? Are both computers in the same domain? Based on your description, my current suggestion would be to ask your coworkers if they are experiencing the same problem as you are, if they are experiencing the same problem, it could be due to company policy.

Best Regards,
Yulia Xu

Both computers are in the same domain. Same model computers and yes same user on both devices. No one else is experiencing this issue.
