Hi all,
I applied Object Level Security (OLS) on a column by following these instructions. It works well in Power BI Desktop when testing with 'view as', e.g. the secured column is not displayed. However, when I publish the report to Power BI Service and test it with 'test as role' (in Dataset->Security), the entire visual is not displayed, whereas I would expect that only the respective column would not be displayed. Any idea what's going wrong here?
Hi @PunchBird ,
1.Is there any error messages?
2.Try to create visuals without the OLS column and republish to see if the issue still occurs.
3. Use another role/account to test.
Best Regards,
Eyelyn Qin
Hi @Anonymous
1. There are no error messages
2. without OLS the issue does not occur
3. with other role same issue
@PunchBird , Clear Browser cache and refresh, and try again.
Or republish -> Clear Browser cache and refresh, and try again.
@amitchandak thanks for your suggestion. I just did both... but that didn't solve the issue 🤔. Any other ideas?
