ODBC: ERROR [08S01]
Hi,rajendraongole1 ,thanks for your concern about this issue.
And I would like to share some additional solutions below.
Hi,Baykus .I am glad to help you.
Are you using the latest version of Power BI Desktop?
Our team has noticed that there is currently an error when connecting to a data source using ODBC for newer versions of Desktop, and the temporary solution is to download a historical version of Desktop to circumvent this issue.
You mentioned that you have not had similar problems with previous versions, and that you have tried several ways to verify this, and that the same problem occurs in all of them. It is possible that there is an unexpected error in Desktop itself.
We are now looking into the issue regarding the error with the ODBC connector and I will update this issue if there is an update.Thank you for your support of Power BI.

Hi Anonymous, Thanks for your suggestion. I will install June 2024 version of Power BI Desktop - 64-bit. I will see if it works.
However, I found a solution by dividing sql query in to 3 query for per email group. So I didnt use union. Then I append 3 table and it worked! It is so wierd to me and didnt understand the reson how applied steps can be working while an sql query is not. The hole query with union was working before but has started to give the error [08S01]. It doesnt make sense to me but it is working now 🙂
