Hello Everyone,
I'am trying to create a slicer in which i can select a certain range of numbers, like this:
But I don't get listed the options to alter the slicer. I only can select "List" or "Dropdown", even though the datatype is "Number" (German: "Ganze Zahl"):
What am I doing wrong?
Has it something to do with single elements in the filtered entity? It goes from -18 to +60 , but also contains NULLS (empty cells).
Can please somebody help me?
Thank you!

Solved! Go to Solution.
Ok, it's a numeric field.
I trust you exported or did something to look for all the nulls.
Look under File/Options&Settings/Options and in the list select preview features.
Make sure Numeric Range Slicer is checked.
Thank you for your respond!
But unfortunately it is still not available as slicer...
I replaced the "null" with -99
Does it need to be continuously numbers? I dont think so, because it would be very annyoing...
Thank you!
Regards

Yes, it wasn't activated in the settings...
Great, thank you for your help!!!😀

It is due to the Nulls (sorry, too busy to make a test for you). There also may be text in there and that definately would stop that slicer.
Hi @Anonymous ,
I have a column INDEX, which has a datatype as WHOLE NUMBER. I can see an option for it to create a range in slicer. See below:
The only thing is this column hasn't got any null values or blank values in it.
Ideally, in your case if a numeric column has got NULLS or SPACES, then logically it is wrong from data point of view. You will need to clean your data and replace these NULLS and SPACES with a random value, could be ZERO if works in your scenario.
Thanks,
Pragati
