Number formatting differs between Power BI Desktop and Service (Indian comma format issue)
Thank you for confirming that you've already reviewed your browser settings. Since the issue remains after checking the regional settings in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and your browser, the most effective solution is to rebuild the dataset from the beginning with the correct culture. Sometimes, even if you later update the model language to English (India), the dataset may still use the original culture set when the PBIX file was created. Because Power BI Service uses the dataset’s model culture for numeric formatting, it's best to close Power BI Desktop, reopen it with English (India) as the default model language, create a new blank PBIX file, reload your data, and republish the report. This will ensure the dataset is set up with the correct culture so numbers display in the Indian comma format (e.g., 12,34,567) in the Service.If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out and we'll be glad to assist.

Hi, the issue has not been resolved yet. I'm not sure who marked a solution for this post, but the problem still persists on my end.
This is possibly because your browser uses a different setting. For example, even if you set the locale of your model to en-gb, this stil gets overriden by your browser's.
