Notification resolution

Hi everyone,

I'm hopnig theres a fix for this, rather than a machine rebuild!  At somepoint i've fiddled with my display settings, and now the notification window appears to be running at the wrong resolution, as messages aren't all visible. Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this?  As seeing builds, and other messages can be rather useful!

Cheers.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Could you please try to set computer display resolution with "1920 x 1080" just like the one in below screen shot(Settings-->System-->Display)?

Cheers. The resolution on the laptop is as you show, however, the size of text box (the one above the one highlighted) was set as 125% (recommended).  Changing this down to 100% and the notification window shows as it should. It does mean everything else is now 25% smaller, so trickier to see.  Any way to over rule this that you know of, without impacting the PowerBI?

Hi @Anonymous ,

Then keep the display setting as default one, and try to enable the following option (Settings > System > Display > Advanced scaling setting) and check whether popup window can dispaly normally.

Hi @Anonymous ,

According to the display setting of minimum requirements to run Power BI Desktop, at least 1440x900 or 1600x900 (16:9) is recommended. Lower resolutions such as 1024x768 or 1280x800 are not recommended, as certain controls (such as closing the startup screen) display beyond those resolutions. If you set your display settings to change the size of text, apps, and other items to more than 100%, you may not be able to see certain dialogs that you must interact with to continue using Power BI Desktop.

Best Regards

Rena

Thanks for your reply.  Its annoying, as PowerBI is the only app i have this issue with, and i'm running at 1920/1080. I'm pretty sure it hasnt always been like this. 😞
