Is there a way with Power Bi Desktop and to have it carry over to the web version to have notes about the specific graphs or charts for the users? I know that Domo offers something that like and Oracle's Compass product but thus far I have not been able to find anything that will let me enter notes for the user that will explain what the graph is doing and logic that is being applied.
There are a variety of ways to do this. I usually use the donut chart and put my tips into a tips table with an ID number. The ID number becomes the value. When I hover over the donut, the tooltips window opens and the "note" becomes visible. Another technique I've used is to put the notes into a table and use something like the Long Text Viewer or Card. When I open it in the Focus mode, the note becomes visible. As an aid, I add a title called something like "Use Focus Mode to View Instructions". Hope this helps.
