Power ParticipantNot importing SharePoint List Headers
I have some sharepoint lists and when importing them into Bi, the headers are not importing and therefore unable to promote headers and have to manually rename the columns. Any ideas why?
Unfortunately, neather of the above links helped and in the end, I ended up renaming the column headers from "field1", etc. to the desired column name.
I always have this issue when importing an excel table into SP list then connecting via BI.
Thanks. This just explained the issue to me. When we create from Excel, the native fields are field_1, field_2 etc and the field name added during list creation process is just a label. Power BI fetches the internal field names. Too bad. To check if this is the case with you, go to List settings, click on the column, and read the name that shows in address bar.
