I get this error every time I try to load data from any data source (e.g. SQL Server, excel, txt etc.)
Hi @MohamedN,
It looks like an issue about the provider. Please try to uninstall and reinstall PowerBI desktop to check if the issue still persists.
Best regards,
Yuliana Gu
Thanks for your input! I already tried that. I am wondering if this is an issue with the latest update.
Hi @MohamedN,
Which version of PBI do you use? I have tested in Version: 2.39.4526.362 64-bit (September 2016) and didn't get this error prompt.
Thanks,
Yuliana Gu
Version: 2.40.4554.361 64-bit (October, 2016)
@MohamedN There was a new update released today due to some issues. One I know of for sure was any calculated column that was the same name as the table/query. Grab the latest, and see if you still have the same issues.
Hi @MohamedN,
I have tested the latest version: 2.40.4554.361 64-bit (October, 2016), there is no issue with data load. I think this is not an issue with the latest update. There might be some configuration problems in your own machine that caused the failure of load data to PowerBI.
Thanks,
Yuliana Gu
