Hi,
to be honest...I feel a little bit silly in the moment...maybe I am only blind, but I do not get this done.
I have an excel file...quite a simple one...based on which I want setup a line diagram.
In the excel, I have following rows:
customers, material, Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May
I want to create a report with two slicers (one to filter on customers, the other to filter on the material).
Based on the slicers, I want to create a line diagram which just shows me the numbers for the months Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May.
For me, it seems to be quite simple, but it does not work. The line diagram is not been created.
Please help!!!
Anyone any idea?
@PWBI Can you post an example of your data as text? Sorry, having trouble following, can you post sample data as text and expected output?
Not really enough information to go on, please first check if your issue is a common issue listed here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Before-You-Post-Read-This/ba-p/1116882
Also, please see this post regarding How to Get Your Question Answered Quickly: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/How-to-Get-Your-Question-Answered-Quickly/ba-p/38490
The most important parts are:
1. Sample data as text, use the table tool in the editing bar
2. Expected output from sample data
3. Explanation in words of how to get from 1. to 2.
This is how my table looks like:
Kunde | Material | Jan | Feb | Mar |
Müller | 1 | 15 | 543 | 42 |
Huber | 1 | 36 | 2 | 25 |
Maier | 1 | 24 | 424 | 36 |
Maler | 1 | 19 | 35 | 69 |
Müller | 2 | 17 | 36 | 85 |
Huber | 2 | 66 | 58 | 74 |
Maier | 2 | 55 | 69 | 25 |
Maler | 2 | 25 | 75 | 36 |
This is how I would like to see the data visualized.
