No pages appear in Page Navigation in Power BI

Jeffrey2_0-1728879297551.png

Hopefully you can see the image...

I have 5 tabs in my file. One is a dashboard, and the other four are for data pertaining to milestones (Milestone 1, Milestone 2, etc.) When I chose Insert -> Buttons -> Navigator -> Page navigator, I get a blank box with no buttons. I added a green background just to see if I'm missing anything, but there's nothing there. I am expecting to see four buttons (Milestone 1, etc.) I've clicked and unclicked "Show hidden page" and "Show all by default". No matter what I try, no buttons appear. I've even attempted to add the page navigator button to the other tabs, and I get the same result. A blank box. Any ideas on how to fix?

I figured out the issue. If "Allow use as a tooltip" is switched to yes, the page will not appear in the Page Navigator Menu. It has to be off. I even tried it with the file you sent, and I was able to replicate the issue.

Make sure that all milestone pages are visible in the report view. If you have hidden pages, make sure to unhide them.

Sometimes, simply restarting Power BI can resolve rendering issues.

You can clear the cache via File > Options and settings > Options > Clear cache.

If non of this works, please share the file here.

If this helped, a Kudos 👍 or Solution mark would be great! 🎉

I made all of the pages viewable and cleared the cache, but didn't fix the problem.

Hi @Jeffrey2

These types of questions are quite difficult to answer without access to the file. I tested it on my own machine to rule out an issue, and the feature works as expected.

Here’s what I recommend:

  1. Ensure that when you scroll down from the section you've cut, the page names are visible. Try toggling them on/off.

    2. Check for Section Grouping: Make sure none of your pages are grouped into sections in the report view. If they are grouped, Page Navigator might not display them properly.
    3. Try running the feature in a different file.
i attached my pbix you can use it for tests
    4.Try reinstalling the desktop version.

If none of these suggestions work, please attach a link to your PBIX file so we can take a closer look.
