No matter what I do, I cannot connect to an Azure AutoML model from Power BI Desktop.

I have an Azure Auto ML model. I registered the model and then created a real-time endpoint. I've done the same and tried making a batch endpoint. I've tried in Power BI Desktop to connect to it as a data source via the get data from the web, but it fails. I've opened Power Query in Power BI and tried to connect to it via Azure Machine Learning. It tells me I have no machine-learning models. Further, all indications are from the Azure ML portal; the endpoints are up and running and provide web links to the endpoints.  I see success in the areas showing configuration/deployment with no errors.   What am I doing wrong?  Before you tell me to read this link, I have. Tutorial: Consume Azure Machine Learning models in Power BI.  At this point, I'd pay for someone to help me.

can you call your machine learning model from any other tool other than power bi?

If I took the time to answer your question and I came up with a solution, please mark my post as a solution and /or give kudos freely for the effort 🙂 Thank you!

If I take the URL generated as the endpoint in Azure and then open that URL in a browser, I see some text that I don't understand. Something like:

8OAc

.json
