No date in file

Hi,

 

Is it possible to get date in a report.

I have multible files (emplyee list for each month in different years) but it´s no date in file.

Do I need to enter it before I build the report in power bi? I would like to enter new months to see emplyee on everey department over time.

I suggest seeing some of the Youtube Videos. Most of them are less than 10 minutes, and it is very easy to follow.

You can search easily by typing, "Power BI get data from folder".

Hi, @Anonymous 

Please correct me if I wrongly understand your question.

I assume that each file name contains a kind of month-year indicator. And I also assume each file has the same table structure and saved in one folder.

In this case, you can extract all files from a folder into Power BI Desktop and you can use the month-year indicator to differentiate the information.

Yes your assume is correct file name is xxx2021-01-26 and structure is same everey time. And maybe this is super easy, but how do I do this?
