Newbie: DATDIFF - What am I missing

Hi All

Embarrased to ask. Ive searched and looked at examples and still I cannot get what I want so I dumbed down and created this table in excel and pulled it in to PBI Desktop

Two Columns and both formatted as a date.

All originally wanted to do was a difference between Today() and a date column and I could not get that to work.

So I thought I will just test it between 2x columns and it doesnt work.

I dont get options to select my date columns or the table itself?
