New update killed live connection to Template App Schematic Model

Can't Live connect from Power BI Desktop to a Template App Model, works fine with Normal Model.

Same issue on 2 tenants.. worked fine 4 days ago. 

any thoughts ?

Update* 

This is only affecting pre installed tempate apps and updated pre installed template apps,

works only with new installed template app, will elivate this to https://ideas.fabric.microsoft.com/ as a Bug

Hi @BMG001 

After testing, if I change the dataset name in the Power BI service, it shows an error, so check the dataset and if its name has changed or if it has been deleted or moved, make sure you have access to the dataset and check if you have lost access to the dataset. Alternatively, you can try reconnecting to the model again.

yes no change to dataset name, newly installed template app and allso on old template app installed on a nother Tenant, same Issue even 2 diffrent template apps.

 

could you live connect to a template app?  this app is IP protected so you cant download the pbix.

but Excel and PBIX live connections shoud hand have worked fine.

Live connection works fine with Excel.
