New simple measure help

Hello,

I am working with a live connection to a datawarehouse.

In my report, I would like to make a measure that creates a new column with a "1" for every "hello" in field A. If there is no X, the column should result in something else (e.g. "0").

How do I do that using (quick) measure? What calculation must I choose?

This is my desired result:

Field ANew column
Yo0
Hello1
Hello1
Yo0
Hello1

  • Hi BPTBPTBPT ,

For this you cannot use a quick measure. Taking into account that this is a live connection you cannot add a new column to your data model.

What is the purpose of this column on you model?

  • MFelix Thanks.

    The context is as follows:

I have a list of projects in a table. There a re a lot of ones with "hello" in the field A. I need those to be filtered out. However, NEW projects, that will occur after today, could have "hello" in field A, and I DO need these.

I did not think my initial question through, though. Is there a better solution?
