On both service and powerbi desktop new card slicer acts like a button like a slicer but is not user friendly.
First of all if i add a category in new card visual these categories can be selected and this selection effects other visuals. This is suprising for me! But user can not notice which category is selected and there is no option on this visual to set how text or colors seem in different states like on-select or on-hover. Worse than this is when you click on the same category again selection does not removes.
In a slicer when a value is selected on slicer other visuals show that value like image 1.
In a new card visual when a category is selected other visuals show that value like image 2 -> Included(1) ...
When i see Included title like image 2 i search this in filter tab (right side) and click cross icon on it to remove inclusion but this type of filtering from a new card visual is not shown in filter tab. The only way to remove this include filter is to click the little space between the categories in new card visual.
This seems like a bug or an incomplete option to use a card visual like a button i don't know. But to avoid confusion i add a transparent shape on new card visual so that user can not click on.
What am i doing wrong? Is there a plan on Microsoft side to fix this bug if its a bug?
In the meantime, put a transparent shape on top of the card visual so it doesn't get clicked.
@kadirkkkk2 The New Card visual is still in Preview and so it may not work exactly correct compared to when it becomes generally available (GA).
