I am a regular Tableau user and now we are being asked to switch to Power BI. I am trying to learn how to use BI but it seems very difficult. One thing I noticed right away...I use a lot of totals. for example Tableau always lets you select total number of records as a measure, where is this located in BI?
Thanks
Hi Jmac2324,
You could use the Quick measure 'Total for category' to get a total count of a column.

Hi Jmac2324,
From your description, I guess you want to use the 'New quick measure' function in power bi, you could refer to below link:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-quick-measures

Ok, thanks
That is a lot of steps just to get a total count of a column on a spreadsheet.
