New Slicer / Bookmarks

Dear all,

 

I am trying to clear all filters (from new slicer & visual filters) using a bookmark. While it works to clear everything and puts the report into the bookmarked state, as soon as I select an item from the slicer, the previously selected items are selected too.

 

E.g. I have a slicer containing 3 products (A, B, C), and I select Product A, then select the bookmark which clears all slicers & filters from visuals, everything is back to original state. However if I now select Product B from the slicer, Product A is also selected. So I need to manually unselect it, which is not a practical solution.

 

Has anyone a solution or experienced similar weird behaviour from the new slicer visual?

    Hi Tabelle1, please try to add a button with "Clear all slicers" button. Then apply some filters, press ctrl and click on the button. It should remove the filters. Then apply your filter again and let us know if the issue persists.


    If not, most likely there is some error while creating a bookmark, try to watch couple of videos on how to properly create a bookmark.

      Hello Sergii24 ,

       

      thanks for the feedback, the button clears all filters from slicers but not those which have been applied through a visual (e.g. if you click a bar in a bar chart).

       

      Even though when I clear all slicers (via the button you mentioned) and then add a bookmark (unfiltered state), as soon as I select another item on the slicer the previous slection is selected too.

       

      E.g. in the screenshot below: 

      When I select product A, then Clear all slicers (Bookmark - which brings me to unfiltered state), then select Product B, Product A is selected too even though I cleared slicers first and have not selected it.

        Hi Tabelle1, good news I've managed to replicate your case! 🙂

        Are you using "Slicer (New)" type of visual? I suppose there is some bug with it. As soon as I add to the page a classic "Slicer" (Slicer settings-> Style-> Tyle) it works as expected!


        I believe the community support team might be interested to looking into it.
